The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swerro Jr keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Valuev.
Valuev fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Swerro Jr throws a low kick, looking for Valuev's leg but Valuev calmly moves out of range.
Valuev scores with a decent looking hook.
A combination from Valuev does no damage.

Valuev fails with an attempt to clinch.

Swerro Jr throws the kick towards the body but Valuev avoids it.
Nikolai Valuev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Valuev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Swerro Jr tries to avoid it but Valuev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Swerro Jr to the ground. Swerro Jr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Swerro Jr moves out of range of the leg kick from Valuev.
Swerro Jr slaps away a takedown attempt from Valuev, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Valuev keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Valuev shoots for a takedown but Swerro Jr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mike Swerro Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nikolai Valuev.

Swerro Jr lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Valuev falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
