Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Morbius Zod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Rentz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Franklyn Lucas and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zod listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Zod misses with a straight left.
Zod throws a series of punches but Rentz avoids them all with ease.
Rentz misses with a head kick.

Rentz clinches up with Zod and pushes him back against the cage.

Rentz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zod throws a body punch but Rentz moves out of range.
Rentz tries to clinch but Zod is having none of it.

Rentz shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Zod manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Rentz won't allow Zod to get back to his feet.

Rentz drops back looking for a leg! Zod is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Zod manages to kick Rentz off! Rentz jumps back into Zod's guard.
Rentz slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Zod is trying to get back to his feet.
Rentz in side control, throwing shots but Zod defends.
Zod tries to improve position but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zod gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Zod is squirming around, avoiding Rentz's attempts to control the action.

Rentz looking to secure an arm triangle but Zod defends it well.
Rentz misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rentz controlling from mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Zod tries to hold on but Rentz pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rentz.
Rentz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zod sprawls well. Zod wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rentz gets slowly back to his feet.

Rentz bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Rentz is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Rentz stands up.

Rentz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Zod sprawls well initially but Rentz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Zod is trying to stand back up but Rentz is controlling him
Zod tries to roll over but Rentz keeps him under control.
Rentz throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Zod is refusing to be controlled, as Rentz sits in half guard.
Rentz content to control rather than advance.
Zod is staying active underneath Rentz, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Rentz is stalling here. Zod is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Rentz seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Zod has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Zod tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Zod has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Zod keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Morbius Zod has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Rentz.
Rentz shoots in but no luck this time.

Rentz moves into the clinch.

Zod drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rentz dives on top into guard.
Rentz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Zod is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rentz is controlling him.

Brandon Rentz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Zod's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Zod throws a series of punches but Rentz moves out of range.
Rentz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zod swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rentz scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Rentz looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Rentz postures up in Zod's guard and throws a big left but Zod blocks it.
Rentz throws a big right hand that misses.
Rentz stays in close to Zod's body and controls the position.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Zod wants to get back to his feet but Rentz is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Rentz trying to control but Zod is working from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rentz is fighting to break Zod's control of his arms but Zod is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Zod keeping moving, preventing Rentz from controlling successfully.
Rentz postures up and lands a big shot to Zod's brow.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Zod is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Morbius Zod has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Rentz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Rentz tries to free his leg and advance position but Zod is retaining full guard.
