Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reynold Blanco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bjorn Vegard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bjorn Vegard has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Reynold Blanco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Bjorn Vegard!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blanco ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vegard moves away.
Blanco throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Vegard on the side of the head.
Reynold Blanco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vegard is looking to clinch.
Blanco misses with a body shot.
Blanco throws a right and a left that both miss.
Vegard should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Blanco misses with a low kick.

Blanco drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vegard is adopting a defensive guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Blanco gets to his feet - Vegard follows without any prompting.

Vegard tries to clinch but Blanco moves out of range.
Blanco uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Vegard tries to close the distance and clinch but Blanco swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Vegard closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Vegard lands in his opponent's guard.
Vegard wants to pass the guard but Blanco is keeping the position.
Vegard must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Blanco is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vegard defends well.

Vegard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blanco swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Blanco has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vegard can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Vegard would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Blanco dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Vegard. That did some damage!

Well, if Blanco is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vegard can do anything to dispel that myth.

Blanco looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Vegard is trying to control but Blanco passes into side control!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Vegard tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Blanco wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bjorn Vegard showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Vegard is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Blanco doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vegard.

Vegard got a little sloppy there for a moment and Blanco has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vegard has managed to get both his arms back between Blanco's legs - danger averted.

Vegard tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Blanco has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Blanco tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Vegard smiles and moves away.

Blanco moves in looking to clinch but Vegard pushes him off.

Vegard drives through with a takedown into guard.
Vegard passes Blanco's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Vegard stands up out of the half guard.
Blanco throws a head kick that misses.
Blanco fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Vegard looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Blanco throws a good cross that connects.
Blanco is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Blanco keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Vegard gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Blanco is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Vegard moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Blanco dodges the punch combination from Vegard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bjorn Vegard comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Vegard has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
