Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksander Nowak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tauno Karvaranne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tauno Karvaranne will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karvaranne shoots for a double leg takedown but Nowak sprawls well. He's pushed Karvaranne's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Karvaranne takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Nowak throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Karvaranne won't allow Nowak to sweep him here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nowak bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Karvaranne's guard.

Karvaranne is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nowak defends well.

Karvaranne escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nowak gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Karvaranne has his foot on Nowak's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nowak works his way back into a safe position though.

Nowak drops back looking for a leg! Karvaranne is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Karvaranne manages to kick Nowak off! Nowak jumps back into Karvaranne's guard.

Karvaranne working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nowak doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nowak manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
