Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Dover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zapp Brannigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ben Dover has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ben Dover seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dover shoots for a takedown but Brannigan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Dover fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Brannigan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Brannigan controls Dover momentarily but Dover frees himself.

Dover postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Brannigan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dover, into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dover has his foot on Brannigan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brannigan works his way back into a safe position though.

Brannigan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brannigan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Brannigan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
