Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Deon Du Plessis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Mayorga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Du Plessis comes to the cage accompanied by Fort Minor - Remember the name. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Du Plessis stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Mayorga tries to clinch up but Du Plessis circles away and keeps his distance.
Du Plessis throws a right and a left that Mayorga avoids nicely.

Du Plessis scores with a hook to the body. Mayorga takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Du Plessis throws a front kick aimed at Mayorga 's knee but Mayorga avoids it well.

Mayorga bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Mayorga tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mayorga has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Mayorga wants to break the clinch but can't.
Mayorga tries to score a body lock takedown but Du Plessis shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Mayorga is pressed up against the cage. Du Plessis has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mayorga down to the mat. Mayorga avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
The crowd cheers as Du Plessis lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mayorga doesn't seem phased though.

Mayorga drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Du Plessis manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mayorga has Du Plessis in his guard.
