Mutombo comes to the cage accompanied by Parang tanga lang. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mutombo closes this distance looking for a takedown but mac circles away.
Mutombo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as mac sprawls well. mac wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mutombo gets slowly back to his feet.
Mutombo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Mutombo tries to advance to mount but can't.

Mutombo lands a few punches from side control.
Mutombo tries to move to mount but mac blocks the move with his legs.
mac is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
mac is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mutombo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mutombo's back!

mac has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Mutombo! Can he survive? No! He's out! mac gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
