Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chucky Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pearl Whites (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reyes's entrance music is Nine Inch Nails - Deep. A fine choice. Whites has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whites closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Reyes to the mat! Reyes manages to get full guard.
Reyes is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Whites wants to control from the top but Reyes keeps moving.

and Whites counters with a shoot takedown. Reyes fights it but they end up in guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Whites drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Whites jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Reyes has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Whites is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Reyes.

Reyes is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Reyes is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Whites looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Reyes isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Whites stacks Reyes on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Whites!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Whites cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Reyes is in all sorts of trouble here.
Reyes is in a horrible position here. Whites smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
BOOM! Whites connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Reyes is trying desperately to improve position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pearl Whites dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Whites fails with a takedown attempt.

and Whites counters with a shoot takedown. Reyes fights it but they end up in guard.

Whites working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Reyes's head.
Whites drops back looking for a leg! Reyes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Reyes manages to kick Whites off! Whites jumps back into Reyes's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Whites stopping the sweep attempt from Reyes.
Whites got a little sloppy there for a moment and Reyes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Whites has managed to get both his arms back between Reyes's legs - danger averted.
Reyes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Whites doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Whites manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Reyes is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Whites frees his head nicely. Oh but Reyes has switched to an armbar! Whites is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
