Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Dukes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Goldberg Theme. The crowd seem to be enjoying Dukes's choice of entrance music: Everything in its right place. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dukes fails in his attempt to clinch.
Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dukes circles away quickly and effectively.
Silva fails with a takedown attempt.
Dukes throws a body kick that misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dukes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Dukes wants to clinch.
Silva throws a low kick but Dukes avoids it.
Silva misses with a series of wild punches.
Dukes rushes Silva and presses him up against the cage.
Dukes misses with an elbow over the top.
A frustrated look appears on Silva's face as he tries to break the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dukes using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Silva has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Silva breaks from the clinch.
Dukes doesn't manage to clinch there - Silva circles away.
Dukes throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.

and Silva counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Dukes down! Silva is looking to finish but Dukes is intelligently defending himself.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dukes's guard.

Silva stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Dukes to get to his feet.
Dukes throws a sloppy head kick
and Silva scores with a counter punch that sends Dukes to the canvas! Silva smells blood - he's punishing Dukes with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Dukes has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lyoto Silva!
