Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thor Modi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Borg Hanson!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Modi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hanson manages to avoid it.
Hanson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Modi ducks under a wild hook from Hanson.
Hanson throws a jab but it's blocked by Modi.
Modi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hanson moves away.
Hanson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Hanson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Modi.
Modi throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hanson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Hanson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hanson.
It looks like Thor Modi has been cut.
Modi avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hanson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Modi.
Hanson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Modi.
It looks like Borg Hanson has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A slow jab from Hanson misses its intended target.
Hanson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Modi ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Nice defenses there by Modi.
Hanson is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Modi takes a jab right on the kisser.
Borg Hanson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hanson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Modi.
Modi lands a left and a right that send Hanson crashing to the mat, dazed. Modi thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Hanson is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hanson is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Modi doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Hanson crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Hanson's bad books for that mishap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Thor Modi!
