The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wenkel tries to land a leg kick but Seau saw it coming and moves away.
Wenkel dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Seau. That did some damage!
Wenkel stuffs the takedown attempt from Seau. Seau gets slowly back to his feet.

Seau shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Seau was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wenkel slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Wenkel is looking to improve his position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wenkel wants to improve his position but Seau is controlling well.
Seau is looking to take a break and control but Wenkel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Wenkel tries to get to full guard but Seau has control of the leg.
Wenkel is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Seau's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Seau's back!
Seau can't escape the position.

Wenkel is cranking Seau's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Seau! He's tightened the choke and Seau is tapping out!
