Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Harrison Ovaltine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Oswald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ovaltine comes to the cage accompanied by Rammstein - Sonne. Mark Oswald will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Harrison Ovaltine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Oswald!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oswald is looking to clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Oswald as Ovaltine shoots in.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ovaltine.
Harrison Ovaltine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Ovaltine or perhaps it was just good defense by Oswald which made him look bad.

Oswald is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Oswald tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ovaltine swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Oswald lands a head kick. Ovaltine smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Ovaltine has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Oswald throws a nice looking combination but Ovaltine bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Oswald stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Oswald wants it to stay on the feet.

Oswald tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ovaltine paws at him with a jab and circles away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ovaltine throws a knee to the head but misses.

Oswald slaps away a takedown attempt from Ovaltine, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Mark Oswald is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ovaltine takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Oh Ovaltine is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Ovaltine seems to have got his legs back now.
Oswald throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Oswald feints and then cracks Ovaltine's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ovaltine down.

Oswald lands a nice looking kick to the body. Ovaltine takes a step back to recover.
The fight stays on the outside here - Oswald looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ovaltine is defended easily by Oswald.
Oswald scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ovaltine doesn't seem bothered though.
Ovaltine shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Ovaltine. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Oswald feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ovaltine's calf.
Ovaltine will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ovaltine takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Ovaltine keeps the fight on the outside.

Oswald closes the distance and clinches.
Ovaltine tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Oswald manages to break the clinch.
Oswald connects with a high kick.
Oswald misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ovaltine shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Oswald pinned against the cage. Oswald gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ovaltine misses with a takedown attempt - Oswald sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Oswald motions for Ovaltine to come forward. Oswald throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Mark Oswald showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ovaltine accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ovaltine drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Oswald manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ovaltine has Oswald in his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ovaltine manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Oswald manages to get himself to full guard.

Ovaltine is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Oswald is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Oswald has escaped and now he's on top!
Oswald has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ovaltine is proving hard to escape from.
Oswald wants to stand and escape but instead Ovaltine has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Harrison Ovaltine.
I think Oswald has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
