The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from High.
Jose Azevedo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Azevedo is trying hard to land a takedown here. High sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
High connects with a crisp jab.

It looks like Jose Azevedo has been cut.
Azevedo is looking to clinch but High is avoiding it.
High connects with a looping right hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Azevedo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

High uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Azevedo.
Azevedo takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Azevedo throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Azevedo. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

High cracks Azevedo with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Azevedo looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can High finish him?

Jose Azevedo's cut is getting worse.
Azevedo is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
High slaps away a takedown attempt from Azevedo, before circling back to the center of the mat.

High drops Azevedo with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Azevedo looks back up at him and smiles so High waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

and High counters with a right hand to the body.

High lands a big right hand that sends Azevedo crashing to the mat! High stays standing though and waves Azevedo back to his feet!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. High engages and cracks Azevedo with a massive lead left hook - Azevedo tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! High is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
