PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Phillip E Cheesesteak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Gould (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gould comes into a darkened arena with his song building. skillet-monster kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Phillip E Cheesesteak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nathan Gould!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheesesteak connects with a looping right hand.
Gould changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cheesesteak tries to avoid it but Gould manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cheesesteak to the ground. Cheesesteak escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gould gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Cheesesteak is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Cheesesteak throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gould works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Cheesesteak shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Gould manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Cheesesteak drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gould manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cheesesteak has Gould in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gould might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cheesesteak kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
