Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Al Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rob Williams has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Al Blaze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rob Williams!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Williams cracks Blaze with a good jab.
Nice takedown defense from Williams. No joy for Blaze on that attempt.
Williams cracks Blaze with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Williams throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Blaze stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Blaze fails with the takedown.
Williams scores with a jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Williams missing with a left hand there. Blaze was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Blaze fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Williams avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Al Blaze. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Williams lands an overhand right.

Williams gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Blaze to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Blaze tries to free his leg and advance position but Williams is retaining full guard.

Blaze is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Williams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blaze. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Williams wants to get back to his feet but Blaze is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Williams is pulling down on Blaze's head to control his posture.
Williams looking for a sweep. Not yet Williams, not yet.
Blaze is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Williams is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Blaze is controlling him.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Nice takedown defense from Williams. No joy for Blaze on that attempt.
Blaze shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Williams sprawls well. Williams wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Blaze gets slowly back to his feet.
Blaze throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Williams's waist but Williams gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blaze off to one side.
Blaze is breathing heavily.
Blaze shoots for a double leg takedown but Williams sprawls well. He's pushed Blaze's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Blaze misses with a takedown attempt - Williams sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Horrible takedown by Blaze or perhaps it was just good defense by Williams which made him look bad.
Williams throws out a powerful jab.


It looks like Al Blaze has been cut.
Williams jabs at Blaze's body.
Rob Williams is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Williams uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Blaze has time to react.
Williams clobbers Blaze with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Williams is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Blaze had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Williams scores with a jab to the jaw.
Blaze takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Williams connects with a nice looking jab.
Blaze takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Williams connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Blaze takes one to the side of the head.


Blaze is rocked!
Williams cracks Blaze with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Blaze tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Williams pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Blaze is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rob Williams!
