Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rik Lock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardy comes into the arena with Papa Roach - Last Resort blaring out of the sound system. James Hardy has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lock scores with a sloppy right hand. Hardy should have avoided that one.
Hardy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hardy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hardy slips a straight right by Lock.
Hardy takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Lock throws a series of punches but Hardy avoids them all with ease.

Hardy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lock gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Lock wants to control from the top but Hardy keeps moving.
Hardy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hardy looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Lock has picked Hardy up and slammed him! Hardy can't keep hold of the triangle and Lock manages to pass to side control!
Hardy tries to improve position but can't.
Lock looks up at the clock and then as Hardy takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lock smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Lock cracks Hardy with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Hardy is looking to improve his position.

Lock is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hardy has managed to free his arm - good work.

Lock is nestled in close to Hardy, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Lock postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Hardy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lock is aware though and is defending well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lock drops back looking for a leg! Hardy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hardy manages to kick Lock off! Lock jumps back into Hardy's guard.
Lock is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Lock looks to score with a jab to the body but Hardy is just out of range.

Oh but Hardy is tightening it up a little... Lock has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Lock reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Lock taps out! nice BJJ there by Hardy!
