Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stan Nikolov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and WOLF Fang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fang tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nikolov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fang somewhat.
Nikolov swats away the attempt to clinch by Fang.
Fang jabs Nikolov right on the nose. Nikolov blinks but takes it well.
Fang tries to clinch up.
Nikolov lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fang works over Nikolov's head and body with a nice combination.
WOLF Fang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fang throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fang swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fang tries for a takedown but Nikolov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Nikolov takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Fang misses with a series of wild punches.
Fang swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Nikolov.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fang lands a right hook to the body.

Nikolov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Nikolov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Fang is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Nikolov prevents Fang from getting the reversal.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fang slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Nikolov tries to stand but can't do so whilst Fang controls his leg.
Nikolov is breathing heavily.
Fang has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nikolov is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fang is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nikolov pulls his head out easily.
Fang makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Fang.

and Nikolov counters by clinching up.
Stan Nikolov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of WOLF Fang.
Fang is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Nikolov gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Fang drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A head punch on the inside from Fang fails to land.

Nikolov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fang connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Nikolov momentarily.

Nikolov gets the takedown into side control.
Fang is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Nikolov off and has taken his back!

Fang is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Nikolov has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Fang has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Nikolov taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Fang doesn't care though - he's delighted!
