The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gismonti is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Gismonti changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. The Samoan tries to avoid it but Gismonti manages to keep hold of a leg and drag The Samoan to the ground. The Samoan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gismonti wants to break free but The Samoan has control.
The Samoan's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
