Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Cornelius Smithy!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
lopez misses with a two punch combination.
lopez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
lopez swats away the attempt to clinch by Smithy.
lopez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and lopez wants it to stay on the feet.
Smithy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but lopez paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Smithy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A telegraphed right hand from lopez misses the target.

Smithy shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. lopez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Smithy works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Smithy frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
lopez is trying to stand up.
lopez trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

lopez bucks up and throws Smithy to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!
Smithy tries to clinch but lopez moves out of range.
Smithy looks gassed!
Smithy is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like Cornelius Smithy has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
lopez moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Smithy is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
A swing and a miss from lopez.
Smithy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but lopez paws at him with a jab and circles away.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! lopez has cracked Smithy with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! lopez lands another huge swinging hook and Smithy tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Smithy, before lopez can land any more shots!
