Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brian Maddox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ernie Whit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ernie Whit struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whit throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Whit swats away the attempt to clinch by Maddox.

Whit drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Maddox defending against the ground and pound.
Whit looks up at the clock and then as Maddox takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Whit smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Whit is working Maddox over with some ground and pound from side control.
Whit looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Maddox is avoiding damage well.
Maddox dodges the ground and pound from Whit.
Whit lands a few punches from side control.
Maddox manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Maddox thows a huge punch but Whit dodges it nicely.
Maddox prevents Whit from improving his position.
Maddox is pressing down on Whit's thigh, looking to free his foot. Whit is holding on for now.
Maddox looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Whit with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Maddox passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Whit!

It looks like Ernie Whit has been cut.
Whit is looking to get to half guard.
Maddox lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Whit is trying desperately to improve position.
Maddox wants to control the pace but Whit is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ernie Whit's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ernie Whit's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
