Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between rogerio duprat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Red Slayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, rogerio duprat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Red Slayer!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slayer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. duprat sprawls well initially but Slayer persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Slayer thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed duprat's head.
Slayer sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. duprat defending well though.
duprat is in trouble now - Slayer has advanced to mount!

duprat holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Slayer tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
duprat wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Slayer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slayer pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Slayer throws a sloppy strike and duprat uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and duprat has ended up in Slayer's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

duprat throws a big right hand that misses.
Slayer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
duprat wants to control from the top but Slayer keeps moving.
duprat is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

duprat has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
duprat is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
duprat stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Slayer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Slayer connects with a stiff jab that staggers duprat - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
