Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Zanella (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andreas Lumpia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lumpia comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Echotek - Micro friends kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zanella swings for the body but Lumpia moves out of range.
Zanella misses the shot to the body.

Lumpia takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Andreas Lumpia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zanella moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Zanella really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Lumpia feints and as Zanella raises his hands in defense, Lumpia changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Lumpia drops back, looking for a kneebar! Zanella looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Zanella looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Zanella!
Zanella gets to mount! Lumpia was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Lumpia looks gassed!

Zanella stands up from mount. Strange move.
Zanella circles away from the clinch attempt.
Zanella misses with a two punch combination.
Lumpia closes this distance looking for a takedown but Zanella circles away.

Lumpia closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Lumpia goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Zanella rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Lumpia's guard! Nice work there by Zanella!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zanella is looking to stand up but Lumpia won't let him.

Zanella gets to his feet - Lumpia follows without any prompting.
Zanella throws a hook but Lumpia blocks it.
Zanella keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lumpia dives in and grabs Zanella's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zanella pushes down on Lumpia's head and hops out.

No joy there for Zanella, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lumpia doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Lumpia takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Lumpia looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Zanella is fending him off so far but Lumpia persists. Nope, Zanella circles away and we're back to standing.
Lumpia shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zanella sprawls well. Zanella wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lumpia gets slowly back to his feet.
Zanella lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Zanella.

Zanella smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Lumpia looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Lumpia fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lumpia avoids the body shot from Zanella.
Zanella lands a jab.

Lumpia is rocked!

Zanella cracks a nice hook into Lumpia's ribs.
Lumpia is still on wobbly legs! Can Zanella finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Zanella has cracked Lumpia with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Zanella lands another huge swinging hook and Lumpia tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Lumpia, before Zanella can land any more shots!
