Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Pontes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krac Wanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pontes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wanov.

Pontes drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Wanov manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pontes has Wanov in his guard.

Pontes drops back, looking for a kneebar! Wanov looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Wanov looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Wanov!

That was a close round but I would say that Fernando Pontes will probably get the nod.

Pontes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Pontes moves out of range as Wanov strikes.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Wanov gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wanov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pontes's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pontes's back!
Wanov is trying to stick to Pontes's back but Pontes is turning into Wanov. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Wanov's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Pontes.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Fernando Pontes.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pontes, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
