Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bart Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Royce Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bart Harris!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gracie is defended easily by Harris.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gracie is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Harris is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Harris has escaped and now he's on top!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Gracie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Gracie throws his legs up looking for a submission but Harris uses it to pass to side control.

Harris has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Harris scores with a push kick.

Harris has managed to clinch.

Harris has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gracie is working away from the top position though.

Harris fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gracie, pushing him back against the ropes.
Gracie tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Harris just stands there and leans against the ropes.

Gracie is not content to let Harris control the position.

Harris really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Harris cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Harris gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
The fight stays on the outside here - Harris looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Harris as he avoids it easily.

Harris moves into the clinch successfully.

Harris breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Gracie wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Harris.

Harris takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well Harris has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
