Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ruarc Bowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eddie Alvarez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ruarc Bowell!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eddie Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowell takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Bowell drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bowell jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Alvarez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bowell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alvarez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Alvarez is looking to stand up but Bowell isn't so interested in that idea.

Bowell is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Alvarez is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Alvarez has escaped and now he's on top!

That was a close round but I would say that Ruarc Bowell will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
