Funakoshi comes into the arena with Artigo 157 blaring out of the sound system. Ginchin Funakoshi could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bronko Nord's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nord is looking to clinch but Funakoshi is avoiding it.
Nord looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Funakoshi is fending him off so far but Nord persists. Nope, Funakoshi circles away and we're back to standing.
Funakoshi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nord avoids it really well and circles away.
Funakoshi avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Funakoshi feints and as Nord raises his hands in defense, Funakoshi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Funakoshi tries to free his leg and advance position but Nord is retaining full guard.
Funakoshi advances position into side control!
Nord really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Funakoshi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Funakoshi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nord is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Nord wants to control but Funakoshi postures up.
