Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Guster Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Wiggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Guster Spencer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Wiggs!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Wiggs throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Spencer shoots for a takedown but Wiggs saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Wiggs cracks Spencer with a good jab.
The crowd cheers as Spencer lands an impressive looking overhand right. Wiggs doesn't seem phased though.
Spencer swings for the body but Wiggs moves out of range.
Spencer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Wiggs avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nice takedown defense from Wiggs. No joy for Spencer on that attempt.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Spencer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Wiggs uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Spencer.

Spencer drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Wiggs is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Well, if Spencer is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That was a close round but I would say that Guster Spencer will probably get the nod.

Spencer throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Wiggs escapes and throws Spencer's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Spencer regains half guard, as Wiggs was trying to land strikes.
Spencer won't allow Wiggs to pass to mount.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Wiggs stands and steps away. Spencer gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Spencer uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wiggs.

and Spencer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Wiggs displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Spencer.

John Wiggs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Spencer takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Spencer sizes up Wiggs with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

and Spencer counters with a single leg into guard. Wiggs didn't expect that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Spencer drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Wiggs manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Spencer has Wiggs in his guard.
Spencer wants to sweep but no luck.
Wiggs content to stall in guard here.

Wiggs got a little sloppy there for a moment and Spencer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wiggs has managed to get both his arms back between Spencer's legs - danger averted.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Wiggs trying to stand up but can't free himself from Spencer's guard.
Wiggs won't allow Spencer to sweep him here.
Wiggs loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Wiggs wants to get up but he can't break Spencer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Spencer avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

And that's the end of the fight!
John Wiggs comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Wiggs has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
