Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vitto Picotto!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Picotto looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Set tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Picotto was well out of range. Poor timing from Set.

Picotto drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Picotto won't allow Set to get back to his feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Set wants to stand up but Picotto is controlling him.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Picotto tries to clinch but Set is having none of it.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Picotto fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Set checks it well.

and Set makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Picotto lands a big head kick that sends Set tumbling to the mat! Picotto takes a step backwards and waves Set back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Oh Set is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

The fight stays on the outside here - Picotto looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Picotto shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Picotto showed some decent athleticism there.
Set is looking to escape.
Picotto missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Set tries to kick Picotto off in order to stand up. Picotto Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Picotto works to advance to full mount. Set defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Picotto is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Set is surviving well by controlling Picotto's body position as best he can.
Kiko Set has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Vitto Picotto is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Picotto has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
