Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wesley Vergouwe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinya Hayato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vergouwe comes to the cage accompanied by Prison Song. Wesley Vergouwe could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Shinya Hayato's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vergouwe wants to clinch.
Hayato wants to clinch up but Vergouwe keeps it at a distance.

Hayato gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vergouwe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Vergouwe wants to pass the guard but Hayato is keeping the position.

Hayato is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Vergouwe tries to score a body lock takedown but Hayato shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Vergouwe.
Hayato is trying to break free.

Vergouwe manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Vergouwe clinches but Hayato breaks the clinch

and Hayato counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vergouwe looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hayato has picked Vergouwe up and slammed him! Vergouwe can't keep hold of the triangle and Hayato manages to pass to side control!

Hayato stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Vergouwe clinches up against the cage.

Hayato escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Vergouwe looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Hayato is breathing heavily.
Vergouwe stops Hayato from getting back to his feet.
Vergouwe is trying to control the action in half guard but Hayato is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Vergouwe is controlling the pace.

Vergouwe wants to pass to mount but Hayato is defending the position.
Vergouwe wants to control but Hayato is keeping him busy.

Vergouwe escapes and gets back to his feet.

Hayato tries to keep at a distance but Vergouwe has taken the fight into the clinch.

Vergouwe escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hayato gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vergouwe is on top in guard.

A close second round but Shinya Hayato will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Hayato is fighting to break Vergouwe's control of his arms but Vergouwe is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Vergouwe wants to sweep here but Hayato controlling him for the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
