Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rob Gurgel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gurgel slaps away a takedown attempt from nelson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
nelson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gurgel tries to score a power double leg takedown but nelson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gurgel somewhat.
Gurgel decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Gurgel is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
nelson is looking to improve his position.
nelson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
nelson wants to get back to his feet.
Gurgel wants to take a breather but nelson is having none of it.
nelson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
nelson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Gurgel fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
nelson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gurgel is defended easily by nelson.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rob Gurgel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
nelson swinging wildly here.
nelson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gurgel sprawls well. Gurgel wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. nelson gets slowly back to his feet.
nelson looks gassed!
nelson drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gurgel has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think nelson should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Gurgel has tightened it up now! nelson should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
