Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
StPierre misses with a takedown attempt - Kowalczyk sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A jab from Kowalczyk misses.
Kowalczyk lands a nice looking body shot.
StPierre changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kowalczyk tries to avoid it but StPierre manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kowalczyk to the ground. Kowalczyk escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kowalczyk defends well against a solid takedown attempt from StPierre.
Viktor Kowalczyk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Georges StPierre.

Georges StPierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
StPierre lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kowalczyk circles away quickly and effectively.
StPierre takes one to the chin there.
Kowalczyk throws a shot from downtown. StPierre moves away and avoids it.
Kowalczyk throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends StPierre stumbling backwards into the cage! StPierre bounces back off the cage towards Kowalczyk, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Kowalczyk lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Kowalczyk celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
