Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Bebeto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Portnoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Portnoy tests Bebeto's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Bebeto closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Portnoy to the mat! Portnoy manages to get full guard.

Bebeto drops back looking for a leg! Portnoy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Portnoy manages to kick Bebeto off! Bebeto jumps back into Portnoy's guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Bebeto closes the distance and clinches up with Portnoy, looking for a takedown. Bebeto pushes Portnoy against the cage but Portnoy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mike Portnoy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Horrible takedown by Bebeto or perhaps it was just good defense by Portnoy which made him look bad.
Bebeto has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Portnoy finds it's way round the side to connect with Bebeto's head.

Portnoy connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bebeto's hands.
Bebeto takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Bebeto throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Portnoy was covering up waiting for the punch and Bebeto finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Portnoy controls Bebeto momentarily but Bebeto frees himself.
Portnoy is looking to stand up but Bebeto isn't so interested in that idea.

Portnoy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bebeto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Portnoy connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bebeto. Bebeto circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Portnoy might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Portnoy finds Bebeto's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Bebeto flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Portnoy lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Bebeto will be OK.
