Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Padeiro Chucro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Canton Caning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chucro comes to the cage accompanied by Nikolay Emelin - Rus. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chucro fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Caning manages to avoid it.
Caning pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Chucro swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Chucro fails with an attempt to clinch.
Chucro tests Caning's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Chucro blocks a head kick by Caning.

Chucro pushes Caning up against the cage in a clinch.
Chucro keeps control of Caning as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Caning pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Caning.

Chucro closes the distance and clinches.

Chucro digs a right hand into Caning's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Caning's gas tank.
Chucro tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Chucro goes for a takedown attempt but Caning pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Canton Caning is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Caning gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Chucro shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Caning tries to buck Chucro off but he can't manage it.
Chucro is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Chucro throws a strike there. Caning manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Caning pushes Chucro off looking to stand but Chucro dives back in and keeps control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Chucro not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Chucro is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Caning!
Chucro postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Caning looks a forlorn figure.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Caning wants to try and get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Padeiro Chucro dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Caning is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Chucro fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Caning trying desperately to get to his feet.
Caning holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Chucro tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Chucro thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
You get the feeling that Caning really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chucro throws a sloppy strike and Caning uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Caning has ended up in Chucro's guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Chucro bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Chucro misses with a hook.

Chucro shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Caning napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Chucro is putting a hurting on Caning here, landing some big shots from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Caning bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Caning throws a head kick but Chucro moves out of range.

Caning tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chucro misses the shot to the body.
Chucro checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Chucro gets the takedown into side control.
Chucro is trying to ground and pound but Caning uses the momentary lack of control by Chucro to regain half guard.
Caning is trying to stand up here but Chucro is controlling him well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Caning avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Chucro.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chucro thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Caning's head.
Chucro working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Caning's thigh. Caning counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Caning wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Chucro manages to pass to side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Chucro throws a strike but Caning avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Padeiro Chucro showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Chucro has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
