The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eriksen misses with a series of wild punches.
Sams tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sams slips under a jab from Eriksen.

Eriksen clinches.
Sams has had enough of the clinch but Eriksen keeps him there for the moment.
Sams tries to break free but Eriksen pushes him back against the cage.
Eriksen can't find room to land a body shot as Sams controls the action.

Sams shoots for a double leg takedown but Eriksen sprawls well. He's pushed Sams's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Eriksen lunges at Sams with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sams's hand.

Morten Eriksen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sams tries for a takedown but Eriksen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Sams throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Eriksen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Eriksen takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Sams jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Eriksen walks away with a smile on his face. Sams gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Sams counters with a good low kick that Eriksen was not able to check.
Eriksen wants to clinch up but Sams keeps it at a distance.

and Sams counters with a three punch combo that has Eriksen backing up. Eriksen nods at Sams to acknowledge the strikes.
Sams tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Eriksen lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sams at a distance.

and Sams counters by clinching up.

Eriksen prevents the takedown attempt.
Sams is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Sams tries to throw a body punch but Eriksen avoids it by throwing Sams back against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Eriksen.
Eriksen is pressed up against the cage. Sams has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Eriksen down to the mat. Eriksen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Eriksen is looking to wear down Sams with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

and Eriksen counters with a left right combination that sends Sams crashing to the mat - Eriksen wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Sams out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
