Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between henri syrjala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Whilem Takkhula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takkhula has chosen Here comes the boom-Nelly as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. henri syrjala has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
syrjala doesn't manage to clinch there - Takkhula circles away.
Takkhula will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
syrjala fails in his attempt to clinch.

Takkhula changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. syrjala looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
syrjala is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
syrjala is letting Takkhula control him for a moment.
Takkhula tries to move into full mount but can't pass syrjala's legs.
Takkhula controls the position.

syrjala is not content to let Takkhula control the position.
syrjala wants to get back to his feet.
syrjala knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Takkhula on the ground.
Takkhula is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
syrjala is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Takkhula is controlling him well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Takkhula tries for a kimura but syrjala is defending well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Takkhula is trying to get an arm triangle but syrjala is defending well.
syrjala is trying to buck Takkhula off.

Takkhula thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
syrjala is breathing heavily.

Takkhula misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
syrjala is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Takkhula is working to tighten is grip on syrjala's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. syrjala has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Takkhula is really squeezing tight and eventually syrjala passes out! Takkhula breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
