The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McConnely shoots in looking for a takedown. Gronholm tries to sprawl out of it but McConnely keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gronholm manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gronholm lands with a big left! McConnely is wobbled badly! Gronholm comes in with a flurry of punches and drops McConnely to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
