The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Easton throws a right hand that Lachance ducks under and follows up with a left that Lachance also avoids with ease.
Easton scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

It looks like Tim Lachance has been cut.
Mark Easton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lachance slips a jab and a cross from Easton.
Easton stalks Lachance and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lachance's face. Lachance staggers backwards, shaken.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

It looks like Mark Easton has been cut.
Lachance has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Easton parries the strikes from Lachance easily there. Lachance is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Easton to escape.

Lachance is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Easton knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Lachance swings around for an armbar but Easton sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Lachance's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lachance is trying to maintain the position but Easton is very close to passing his half guard.

Easton gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Easton wants to get back to his feet but Lachance is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Lachance connects with a couple of short punches.
