The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valenzuela misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rockefeller tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Valenzuela lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Valenzuela throws a series of punches but Rockefeller avoids them all with ease.
Rockefeller fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Valenzuela looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Valenzuela ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rockefeller moves away.
A nice inside leg kick there by Valenzuela. That's going to slow Rockefeller down.
Valenzuela misses with a series of wild punches.
Valenzuela cracks Rockefeller with an open hand slap.
Valenzuela displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Rockefeller avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Valenzuela fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rockefeller sprawls well initially but Valenzuela persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Rockefeller tries to get to full guard but Valenzuela has control of the leg.
Valenzuela tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rockefeller knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Valenzuela looks to land a strike but Rockefeller avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Rockefeller is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Valenzuela is aware though and is defending well.
Valenzuela tries to free his leg and advance position but Rockefeller is retaining full guard.

Valenzuela looking to improve position, pressing down on Rockefeller's thigh with his hand. Rockefeller seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Valenzuela paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Valenzuela's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Rockefeller picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
