Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sadji Nosla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay French (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sadji Nosla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clay French!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nosla displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
A punch lands to the side of French 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Clay French seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
French looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
French fails with a takedown attempt.
French tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nosla sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten French somewhat.
Sadji Nosla has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clay French.
Nosla misses with a double jab.

Nosla jabs at French's body.
Nosla thuds his shin into the meat of French's side.
A right-left combo lands from Nosla.


It looks like Clay French has been cut.

French shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nosla pinned against the cage. Nosla gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

French changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nosla tries to avoid it but French manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nosla to the ground. Nosla escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

French fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nosla avoids it really well and circles away.
French takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Nosla.
French looks gassed!
Nosla throws a quick head kick that skims the top of French's head.
French is trying desperately to land a takedown but Nosla is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for French.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Nosla lands a big head kick that sends French tumbling to the mat! Nosla takes a step backwards and waves French back to his feet - he wants the finish!
French takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Nosla swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

French scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Nosla tries to kick French off but French keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Nosla really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

French is trying to work for a kimura but Nosla is defending well.

French walks forward, straight into a front kick from Nosla.
Nosla lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.


That has opened up Clay French's cut even more.
Nosla feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to French's calf.

Nosla throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Nosla throws a nice inside leg kick.
Nosla misses with a two punch combination.

French looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Nosla lands with an overhand left.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
French on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Nosla buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Nosla is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that French can do to turn this around?

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

French moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

French shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nosla sprawls well. Nosla wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. French gets slowly back to his feet.

French takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

A nice inside leg kick there by Nosla. That's going to slow French down.
French's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Nosla misses with a double jab.
French shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nosla sprawls well. Nosla wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. French gets slowly back to his feet.

Nosla feints and then cracks French's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow French down.
French chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Nosla can pounce on him.

Nosla stuffs the takedown attempt from French. French gets slowly back to his feet.
Nosla looks to land a combination but French avoids it well.

Nosla throws a combination but it was largely blocked by French.
French takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
French closes the distance and clinches up with Nosla, looking for a takedown. French pushes Nosla against the cage but Nosla circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Clay French has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Nosla is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
A combination from Nosla does no damage.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nosla, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
