The crowd seem to be enjoying Davis's choice of entrance music: Vangelis - Alpha. Thomas Davis has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Apollo Creed's chin.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Creed uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Davis.
Creed misses with an uppercut.
Creed staying out of range there.
Davis takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Creed takes a swing at Davis's ribcage but misses.
Creed throws a jab but it's blocked by Davis.
Davis throws a hook but Creed avoids it easily.
A slow jab from Davis misses its intended target.
Davis connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Creed momentarily.

It looks like Apollo Creed has been cut.
Creed throws a lazy right hand but Davis sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Creed throws a body punch but Davis moves out of range.
Davis jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Creed comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Creed slips a straight right by Davis.
Creed lands a jab.
Creed thows a body shot but no joy.
Davis takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Creed moves into range and connects with a jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Creed lands a glancing blow to the side of Davis's head.
Davis pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Davis on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Davis looks gassed!

Creed lands a big uppercut and Davis crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Davis looks OK. Creed waves Davis back to his feet!

Davis is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Creed flashes Davis a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Davis's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Davis crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Creed punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
