The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Windham shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gates sprawls well. Gates wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Windham gets slowly back to his feet.

Lucas Gates has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Windham.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Gates shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Windham but Windham pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Gates wants to clinch up but Windham keeps it at a distance.

Windham has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Gates should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Windham has tightened it up now! Gates should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
