Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keegan Savard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Planety (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Planety has chosen All the right moves as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Savard forces Planety back against the cage and clinches.
Savard lands a knee to the body.
Savard lands an uppercut.
Planety with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Savard throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Planety tries a knee to the head but Savard blocks it.
Planety can't break the clinch.
Savard lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Planety is trying to force a seperation but Savard has the dominant position.

Planety wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Savard decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Savard lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Planety is rocked!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Savard fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Planety, pushing him back against the cage.
Planety is still on wobbly legs! Can Savard finish him?
A body shot lands from Savard.
Planety seems to have recovered his senses.
Savard lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Savard breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Planety pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Savard lands with a straight right. Planety didn't see that one coming.

Savard has closed the distance and engaged Planety in a clinch.
Savard has Planety pushed against the cage.

Savard is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Planety can't fight it off and eventually Savard manages to take the fight to the floor. Planety looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Savard is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Savard throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Planety works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Savard slips nicely into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Savard stands up out of the half guard.
Planety throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Savard pushes Planety up against the cage in a clinch.
Savard crunches a lovely knee into Planety's ribcage.

Savard has hold of one of Planety's legs. Planety is fighting the takedown attempt but Savard gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Savard decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A frustrated look appears on Planety's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Savard has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Planety regains guard immediately.
Savard makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Planety is working an open guard so Savard takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Savard lands with a nice combination. Planety backs away looking to recover.

Planety throws a sloppy head kick and Savard moves out of range easily.
Joe Planety is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Savard decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Savard is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Planety!

Savard is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Savard extends the arm and Planety is forced to tap!
