Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Black Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Jericho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrew Jericho has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrew Jericho!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jericho closes the distance and clinches.

Jericho has Powers pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Jericho pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Powers tumbling to the mat - Jericho dives into Powers's guard.
Powers seems keen to control Jericho's posture.
Powers controls Jericho momentarily but Jericho frees himself.
Powers has control of Jericho's left arm, preventing Jericho from doing any damage.
Jericho wants to control from the top but Powers keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jericho wants to stand but Powers has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Powers shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jericho manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Powers is really struggling to control Jericho but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Black Powers.

Powers closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Powers lands in his opponent's guard.
Powers is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Powers's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Jericho wants to sweep but no luck.

Jericho working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Powers doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Powers manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Powers slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Powers trying to control the position from guard on top but Jericho is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Powers is breathing heavily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Powers shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jericho as he jumps to the side.

Powers gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jericho wants to pass the guard but Powers is keeping the position.
Powers is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Jericho in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Jericho thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Jericho darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Powers has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Jericho drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jericho jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
