Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fisty Fight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ned Han (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fight has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fisty Fight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ned Han!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Han rushes Fight and presses him up against the cage.
Han slowing the pace effectively.

Han pulls guard.
Han seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Fight has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Han manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Fight tries to clinch up
and Han counters with a nice body kick.
Fight is breathing heavily.
Han uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Fight.
Han throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Han misses with a takedown attempt - Fight sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Han darts in and clinches Fight up against the cage.

Han breaks the clinch.

Han fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fight, pushing him back against the cage.
Han manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Han gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Well, if Han is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Han tries to pass to full mount but Fight defends it.

Han decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Han will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Han shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fight sprawls well. Fight wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Han gets slowly back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Han fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Fisty Fight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ned Han.
Han shoots in for a takedown but Fight shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Han gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Han is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Han has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Fight clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Han tries to keep control of the position but Fight is staying busy.
Han throwing sloppy strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Han controlling the positon.
Han tries to get the hooks in deep but Fight pushed the leg off.
Han is riding his opponent, not letting Fight buck him off.
Han missing with punches from the back.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Han thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Han is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
You can see the frustration on Fight's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Han is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Fight is defending well though. Han let's go of the attempt for now.
Fight is in bad spot here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ned Han dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Han dives in and grabs Fight's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fight pushes down on Han's head and hops out.

Fight closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Han did well to prevent Fight getting side control.
Han trying to control but Fight postures up.

Han is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Fight pulls his head out easily.
Fight tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Han is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Fight missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Han punching from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Han throws a body punch but Fight moves out of range.
Fisty Fight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Han darts in and clinches Fight up against the cage.

Han pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Han lets loose with a powerful body kick. Fight will feel that in the morning.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Han tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fight sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Han somewhat.
Fight connects with a jab.
Fight tries to close the distance and clinch but Han swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Fight tries to keep at a distance but Han has taken the fight into the clinch.
Han taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Fight prevents the takedown attempt.
Fisty Fight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ned Han.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Han as Fight tries to tie him up.
Fight can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

Han decides to pull guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fight pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Han is keeping the position for now.
Han throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Han is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Fight stands and steps away. Han gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Han shoots in and drives through. Fight sprawls well.
Fisty Fight is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Han shoots in but no luck this time.
Fight misses with the body kick

and Han counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Han.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
The crowd are getting on Han's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

Han pulls guard.
Han working a defensive guard here.
Fight being controlled here momentarily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Han looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Fisty Fight will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!


Fight lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Han at a distance.

Han rushes Fight and presses him up against the cage.
Han is working for takedown but Fight is calmly controlling the position for now.

Han manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Fight trying to control the position from guard on top but Han is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fight won't allow Han to sweep him here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Han is trying to control the position but Fight postures up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Fight stopping the sweep attempt from Han.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
No luck for Han with that takedown attempt.
A head kick misses from Fight.
Han fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Fisty Fight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ned Han.
Fight tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Han counters by moving into the clinch.

Han breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fight stuns Han with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Han. Fight shrugs it off though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fight shoots in looking for a takedown. Han tries to sprawl out of it but Fight keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Han manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Fight scores with a takedown into Han's guard.
Fight throwing strikes but missing.
Han is trying to control the position but Fight postures up.

Han has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fight can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Han wants to get back to his feet but Fight is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Han not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fight pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Han is keeping the position for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Fight thows a left - swing and a miss!
Han shoots in and drives through. Fight sprawls well.
Han shoots in but no luck this time.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Han fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Fight thows a leg kick but Han checks it
and Han counters with a nice kick to the body.
Han has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Han there as he acknowledges the shot.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Fisty Fight.
I think Fight has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
