Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tim Chesser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julius Guida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tim Chesser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Julius Guida!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chesser scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Guida dodges the punch combination from Chesser.
Guida tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chesser sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Guida somewhat.
Julius Guida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Guida closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Guida throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Chesser wants to improve his position but Guida is controlling well.

Chesser wants to lay and pray for a moment but Guida keeps working.

Chesser wants to take a breather but Guida is having none of it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Guida throws a series of punches but Chesser avoids them all with ease.
Chesser will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Chesser is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Guida has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chesser lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Guida hang on?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Guida is looking to improve his position but Chesser isn't that keen on the idea.
Chesser lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tim Chesser dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Guida looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Chesser is fending him off so far but Guida persists. Nope, Chesser circles away and we're back to standing.
Horrible takedown by Chesser or perhaps it was just good defense by Guida which made him look bad.

Chesser distracts Guida with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Guida wants to sweep here but Chesser controlling him for the moment.

Tim Chesser overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Guida is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Chesser looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Chesser seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Guida is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
