Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Paddy O Reilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takanori Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paddy O Reilly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Takanori Gomi!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi misses with a series of wild punches.
O Reilly is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gomi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Gomi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
O Reilly throws a series of punches but Gomi moves out of range.
Gomi swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and O Reilly counters by clinching up.
O Reilly pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
O Reilly fails to pull the fight into his guard.
O Reilly will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Gomi up against the cage.
O Reilly prevents Gomi from breaking the clinch.

O Reilly gets control of Gomi's arms and successfully pulls guard. O Reilly will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Gomi is looking to stand up but O Reilly won't let him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gomi tries to bum rush O Reilly with a series of wild strikes but O Reilly uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

O Reilly changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gomi tries to avoid it but O Reilly manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gomi to the ground. Gomi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gomi moves out of range of the body kick.
Gomi throws a head kick that misses.
Takanori Gomi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
O Reilly shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gomi sprawls well. Gomi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. O Reilly gets slowly back to his feet.

O Reilly has Gomi up against the cage in a clinch.
Gomi on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
O Reilly working aggressively here.

O Reilly pulls guard successfully.
O Reilly is trying to control the position from the bottom.
O Reilly is pulling down on Gomi's head. It's preventing any offense from Gomi, at least for the moment.

O Reilly had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gomi defends it easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Gomi does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Gomi leaves O Reilly with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Gomi throws a head kick but O Reilly moves out of range.

Gomi got a little sloppy there for a moment and O Reilly has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gomi has managed to get both his arms back between O Reilly's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

O Reilly looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gomi is fending him off so far but O Reilly persists. Nope, Gomi circles away and we're back to standing.
