Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cristobal Galvao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peeeers Mies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cristobal Galvao had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Cristobal Galvao has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch! Galvao slams his shin into Mies's torso.
Mies should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

I looks like Mies might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Let's hope that Mies has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Mies cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Despite being in the dominant position, Peeeers Mies just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Peeeers Mies showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

and Galvao connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Galvao displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mies throws out the jab.

Mies feints and as Galvao raises his hands in defense, Mies changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
