Giroux has chosen BOOM I FUCKED YOUR BOYFRIEND as his entrance music. The key to victory for Roman Galuszka has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galuszka tries a head kick but it misses.

Giroux drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Galuszka preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Galuszka wants to get back to his feet but Giroux is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Giroux fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Galuszka sprawls well initially but Giroux persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Giroux looks to land a strike but Galuszka avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Galuszka is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Giroux dives into side control.

The referee asks Giroux politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Giroux prefers to stall for the moment though.
Giroux wants to lay and pray for a moment but Galuszka keeps working.
Galuszka really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Giroux decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Giroux drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Galuszka tries to escape but Giroux is in control.

Galuszka is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Giroux asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Giroux is looking to take a break and control but Galuszka is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Giroux wants to lay and pray for a moment but Galuszka keeps working.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Claude Giroux.
Galuszka throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Giroux's head.

Galuszka misses with a head kick.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Galuszka! Giroux is out on his feet! Galuszka rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Giroux is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Giroux is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
