Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Suicide Dirka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tom Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Suicide Dirka!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Taylor scores with a nice strike.
Dirka dives in and grabs Taylor's left leg, looking for a takedown. Taylor pushes down on Dirka's head and hops out.
Taylor avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dirka looks for a takedown but Taylor sprawls well.
Taylor throws out a loose jab but Dirka uses good head movement to avoid it.
Dirka shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tom Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Suicide Dirka.

It looks like Suicide Dirka has been cut.
No luck for Dirka with that takedown attempt.
Dirka takes one on the chin but seems OK.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dirka shoots in looking for a takedown. Taylor tries to sprawl out of it but Dirka keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Taylor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Dirka fails to land the takedown.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dirka seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

I looks like Dirka might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Taylor on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Taylor tries to get out of the position.
Dirka prevents Taylor from getting back to his feet.
Taylor avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Dirka trying to control but Taylor is working from the bottom.

Taylor wants to get back to his feet but Dirka is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Dirka is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Dirka trying to control the position from guard on top but Taylor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Dirka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Taylor swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
The crowd cheers as Taylor lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dirka doesn't seem phased though.
Dirka throws a wild body kick that Taylor sees coming a mile off.
Dirka fails with a takedown attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A punch combination from Taylor misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Dirka fails with the takedown.
Dirka tries to clinch up but Taylor circles away and keeps his distance.
Taylor misses with a hook. Dirka ducked under it nicely.
Dirka throws a head kick that misses.
Taylor swinging wildly here.
Dirka throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Taylor's waist but Taylor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dirka off to one side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dirka shoots in and drives through. Taylor sprawls well.

Taylor will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Taylor throws a nice looking combination but Dirka bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dirka shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Taylor but Taylor pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Taylor fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dirka on the side of the head.
Good work by Taylor as he checks the leg kick.
Taylor jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Taylor stalks Dirka and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Dirka's face. Dirka staggers backwards, shaken.

Taylor displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dirka.
Taylor throws a hook to the side of Dirka's head but Dirka sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Taylor is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dirka.
Dirka keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Taylor looks to score with a jab to the body but Dirka is just out of range.
Dirka shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Taylor sprawls well. Taylor wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dirka gets slowly back to his feet.

Taylor misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tom Taylor is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Dirka walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Taylor checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Dirka closes this distance looking for a takedown but Taylor circles away.
Taylor is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dirka.
Dirka fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dirka wants to clinch up but Taylor keeps it at a distance.
Taylor throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dirka tries to close the distance and clinch but Taylor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Dirka throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Taylor was covering up waiting for the punch and Dirka finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Taylor is working an open guard so Dirka takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Taylor uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dirka has time to react.

Taylor throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Taylor avoids the head kick by Dirka.
Dirka fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Taylor avoids it really well and circles away.

Taylor throws a right hand that Dirka ducks under and follows up with a left that Dirka also avoids with ease.

Dirka looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Taylor is fending him off so far but Dirka persists. Nope, Taylor circles away and we're back to standing.
Taylor lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Taylor ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Dirka tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Taylor swivels and escapes.
Dirka walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Dirka shoots in for a takedown but Taylor shows good takedown defense.
Taylor fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dirka on the side of the head.
Taylor throws a right and a left that Dirka avoids nicely.

Dirka drives through with a takedown into guard.
Taylor wants to stand but Dirka is controlling the position.
Dirka missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Dirka not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Dirka prevents Taylor from getting back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tom Taylor.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Taylor, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
