Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Russel Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emmanuellle Eboues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kane comes to the cage accompanied by Song 2- Blur. The key to victory for Russel Kane has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eboues tries to clinch up.

Kane drops his shoulder and cracks Eboues with a huge uppercut! Eboues goes down! Can Kane finish him?

Eboues is rocked!
Kane pushes down on Eboues's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Eboues is still in real trouble! Can Kane finish him?

Kane is working for a submission of some sort.
Kane passes to side control.
Eboues seems to have recovered his senses.
Eboues can't do much from the bottom here.
Eboues stops Kane from passing to mount.

Kane tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Eboues tries to bench press Kane off him but Kane keeps the position.

Eboues is trying to control Kane's posture but Kane avoids it.

Kane is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Eboues is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Kane is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Eboues has escaped the position, nice work there.

Kane tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kane has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
You can see the frustration on Eboues's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Eboues wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Kane swings around for an armbar but Eboues sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kane's guard.

Kane throws his legs up looking for a submission but Eboues uses it to pass to side control.
Kane is breathing heavily.

Eboues stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Kane closes the distance and clinches up with Eboues, looking for a takedown. Kane pushes Eboues against the cage but Eboues circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Nice sprawl there from Eboues as Kane shoots in.

Eboues gets a takedown into half guard.

Kane is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Eboues pulls his head out easily.
Eboues is taking a breather. Kane says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Kane moves into full guard.
Eboues passes Kane's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Kane is trying to get back to full guard.

Eboues keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Kane is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Kane looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Eboues stalling.
Eboues is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Kane is trying to maintain the position but Eboues is very close to passing his half guard.
Eboues performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Eboues fails with an attempt to clinch.

Eboues darts in and clinches Kane up against the cage.
Kane tries to pull guard but Eboues won't allow it.
Kane tries for a takedown. No joy.
Eboues has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kane avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Eboues content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Eboues breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Eboues looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Eboues is breathing heavily.
Kane misses with a combination

and Eboues counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Eboues.

Kane gets a takedown into half guard.
Eboues is staying active underneath Kane, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Kane is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Eboues is trying to control Kane's posture. Kane takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Eboues! Kane is rotating here... this could be the end... Eboues is out! Kane has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
